PriceWaterhouse has been the auditors of the award since its inception. The gentleman in the picture (red square) is Cedric Gibbons, the designer of the statute. And the lady is the then librarian of the Academy, Margaret Herrick, who is supposed to have said that statute looks like her uncle Oscar and thats why the name.
