(Some of you answered Missouri based on the geographical position of these states (in a general North East direction), had this been a quiz with scores maybe I would have given you half the points.)

George Bush Sr. was Senator from Texas, followed by Bill Clinton who was senator from Arkansas, followed by Bush Jr. from Texas followed by Obama from Illinois.
It could also be north-eastern direction travel(state wise) from texas to illinois in which case the answer would be Montana :D
